Seal of Quality

Our quality assurance is carried out by means of regular material and batch testing, assuring compliance with national and international standards. This process is monitored by accredited testing institutes, which certify our products. With our responsibility to meet the highest quality standards, we pass onto our offspring the promise of guaranteeing the safe transportation of gas and water for over 100 years.

Certified manufacturing processes

Our quality standards are exceptionally high. After all, our products have to transport clean drinking water and keep gas systems completely safe. We primarily ensure quality via our DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.

As a global acting company our third party monitored production is complying with
  • national,
  • European and
  • international
    quality standards and guidelines.

Quality tests for PE 100 RC according to PAS 1075:

PE 100 RC is the further development of the material PE 100. Due to its structure, PE 100 RC has a particularly high resistance to crack. The high chemical resistance against crack-inducing media amongst others adds to the overall crack resistance. The following material tests are used to check the quality of PE 100 RC:

Notch-Test

Within the scope of this experiment, pipes are provided with four axially extending notches (depth: 20% of the total wall thickness) and subjected to a creep test.

Full Notch Creep-Test

The Full Notch Creep Test FNCT (ISO 16770) checks the stress resistance of the material. For this purpose, sharp edged cuts are applied to small sticks. They are subjected to a constant tensile stress of 4 N / mm 2 at 80 ° C (+ 2% Arkopal N 100) until they fail.

Point load test

In the point load test according to Dr. Hessel, a tube is placed under internal pressure and furthermore bulged inwards with an application stamp, at a penetration depth which is 8.2 percent of the outside diameter. This simulates the point load of a stone.
