It all started in 1995 with the idea of revolutionizing the plastic pipe industry with new innovative ideas and simple means – Today, as a system provider in the field of plastic pipe construction, we manage international projects and celebrated our 25th anniversary in July. On the occasion of this milestone, we were awarded a certificate by the local Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). Michael Ruescher, head of the IHK in Wesel, personally presented the silver anniversary letter to our two managing directors Andreas Bramert and Florian Lange.
At the beginning
Our company history begins in a small garage in Wesel on the Lower Rhine when the two company founders Udo Piontek and Klaus Lange decided to start their own business. Very few people know that the company originally wanted to focus on welded fittings and installation technology. In July 1995, exactly 25 years ago, our company was entered in the commercial register under the name “STAR Kunststoffververarbeitung GmbH” and only in the following year we fully focused on the manufacture of plastic fittings and prefabrications as a GmbH (Ltd). Today we develop, produce and sell products related to plastic piping systems – including seamless bends, electrofusion fittings, plastic pipes and the suitable welding technology.
Changes as an opportunity
The way towards the success of our company has been paved repeatedly by letting go of the old and venture into the new. We were able to realize significant leaps in development, such as the generation change in the management in 2015, our name change to STAR Piping Systems GmbH, as well as the takeover of MAX Kunststoffschweißmaschinen GmbH in 2016 or our step to become a system provider in 2017. Our latest expansion through the recent relocation to Schornacker in Wesel is a defining milestone in our company history. Innovations such as the development of the world’s first DVGW-certified seamless bend and the expansion of our product dimensions up to 2000 mm are continuously driving the evolution of our company .
The progressional development of our STAR product range, but also our company organization, are elementary building blocks for our company’s success. The perception of our company founders remains more current than ever:

We are proud to look back on our now 125-strong team, which has developed from the original two-man company and operates with extensive specialist knowledge, commitment, discipline and integrity. Whether in production, in the office or at trade fairs and meetings- MERCI for 25 years of active support and valued cooperation!
Due to the current Covid19 restrictions, a proper celebration this year is unfortunately unacceptable, our originally planned company party was for the time being postponed to the summer of 2021.
