We, STAR GmbH, have invested several million euros in the construction of a new production hall and machinery over the past two years in order to expand product capacities in the main production hall. After the new hall of around 2500 square meters was ready for move-in in April 2022, the relocation of existing departments of the fittings production ensured the necessary space in the existing production hall. The restructuring was completed in July 2022.
Thanks to the newly gained space in the production hall, the long-planned expansion of the machine park could be realized. STAR has invested in new machines that significantly expand production capacity. Further machines are in the planning stage.
In addition, the restructuring ensured an optimization of the production process and shorter walking distances within the company. At the same time as the expansion of production capacities, the team of our company has grown: since last year, 19 new employees have strengthened our team, especially in production. We have gained team members especially for the operation of the new machines. In addition, some of our long-time colleagues have attended further training courses.
“In the future, we want to continue to grow as a company and, in the process, we are looking for additional employees. Currently, we have a job open in machining and a position as a REFA engineer,” emphasizes Managing Director Andreas Bramert.
The steady growth of the company is also reflected in the continuous development of our product portfolio. We recently launched the EF-concrete shaft adapter and saddled tees. These developments have added around 350 more products to our portfolio.
“The new machines put us in a position to produce dimensions up to 2500 mm without any problems. With this and the development of new products, we are significantly expanding our product portfolio and responding to the increasing demand from our customers and clients,” says Florian Lange (Managing Director).
With its specially developed component geometry, the EF-concrete shaft adapter represents an optimum connection of PE-HD wastewater pipes to precast concrete shafts, where it ensures a permanently tight shaft connection with just one product.
Also new in the range are saddled tees with a reduced branch, up to a dimension of 2000 mm reduced to 630mm. The saddled tee is suitable for drinking water and wastewater applications.
