Precise testing under real conditions
At 2 m x 4 m x 1.9 m, our test tank is one of the largest in Europe. Here we test our plastic pipe systems under realistic conditions for durability, load-bearing capacity and tightness.
With a test length of up to 3 m and an outer diameter of 1,800 mm, we ensure that our products meet the highest quality and safety standards.

Certified production processes

Internal quality process
Our quality assurance is based on regular material and batch tests, which are subject to national and international standards. Accredited testing institutes accompany this process and certify our products. With the responsibility to meet the highest quality standards, we give our descendants the promise to guarantee the safe transportation of gas and water for over 100 years.
Quality tests for PE100-RC in accordance to PAS 1075
The material PE100-RC is a further development of the material PE100. Due to its structure, PE100-RC has a particularly high resistance to stress cracking (RC = resistance to crack). Among other things, this also favors chemical resistance to stress-cracking media.
PE100-RC is tested for quality using the following material tests:
Notch test
In this test, pipes are provided with four axial notches (depth: 20 % of the total wall thickness) and subjected to a creep test.
Full Notch Creep-Test
The Full Notch Creep Test FNCT (ISO 16770) tests the stress resistance of the material. For this purpose, small test pieces of the material to be tested are cut with sharp edges. They are loaded at 80° C (+2% Arkopal N 100) under a constant tensile stress of 4 N/mm² until they fail.
Point load test
In the point load test according to Dr. Hessel, a pipe is placed under internal pressure and additionally bulged inwards with a support punch at a penetration depth of 8.2 percent of the outer diameter. This simulates the point load of a stone.
